DONINGTON PARK TRUCK RACE EVENT 22ND 23RD JULY.
INFORMATION BULITIN No 3
To confirm unfortunately due to circuit noise restrictions no truck testing is available on the Friday.
Due to the paddock space restriction, to assist with the smooth set-up of the paddock could we again request “if possible” all team / truck transporter vehicles arrive between 09.00 and 17.00 on Friday 21st.
Due to space restrictions we have organised in addition a small “team” vehicle parking area at the rear of Paddock 3, please note all teams should have been issued via BARC one vehicle pass this is watermarked and can and will only be able to be used on one vehicle.
Due to the high profile of this coming weekend’s Truck Race event, may we please take this opportunity to politely request that when and where possible all teams give special attention to the standard of presentation a general appearance of your own paddock area including all support vehicles and race equipment.
During the whole weekend including the Saturday evening, within the in-field area will be a wide variety of entertainment and activities including many food and beverage outlets. Please note the paddock bar and pitstop dinner will close on Saturday evening at 19.30, all infield outlets will be open until late.
Truck Sport UK are still able to offer VIP team / sponsor hospitality space in our paddock facility. If this is of interest please don’t hesitate to contact a member of Truck Sport UK.
It is the intention to have the driver trophy presentations shortly following the end of each race, this will be done next to the GOODYEAR exhibition unit at the Redgate Corner end of the paddock.
The Truck Race schedule for the weekend will be as per the published timetable with the exception that the last and final race on the Sunday will only include the 12 top points scoring drivers (“from the previous four races in both Championship classes”). Please note this will be a BTRC points scoring race. The start grid will be Class A / Division 1 trucks at the front and Class B / Division 2 trucks immediately behind. The formula to determine the start grid will be confirmed ASAP.
Le Mans are running an all truck race event on 23RD 24TH September, to include the FIA European Truck Championship, the French national Coupe De France Series and the European Truck Challenge this will include a minimum of four races under full BTRC regulations. The European Challenge is open to all BTRC drivers / teams, only in total 26 trucks can race so 26 places are available, on a first 26 entries basis, we are working with the event organisers to acquire assistance on the channel ferry crossings.
